Cantaclaro Conservatory Program of Sunstate Nonprofit Organization is glad to announce a venezuelan and colombian Traditional Music Master Apprentice Program; a professional mentorship, musical enrichment, and cultural expression for all ages. This program instructs youth and adults who are ready to advance their skills as Cantaclaro musicians. Weekly sessions provide professional instrumental technique development, vocal coaching, music theory education, while enhancing repertoire that emphasizes the traditional and popular venezuelan music forms, including vals,bambuco,joropo, tamunangue, merengue, galeron, gaita,cumbia and music of different states of Venezuela and Colombia. Training focuses on the core of musical instruments traditional to the venezuelan and colombian ensembles: cuatro, guitar, tambora, flute, violin,carrizos, bandola, conga, charrasca, mandolin, arpallanera, maracas and bass. The Cantaclaro Conservatory Program aims to carry-on the venezuelan and colombian tradition by targeting promising youth that strive for musical excellence. The program is designed to transcend the basics, shaping ambitious youth that have the potential to become masters in their own right. Training focuses on the core of musical instruments traditional to the mariachi ensemble: guitarrón, vihuela, guitar, harp, violin, and trumpet.
